Let the Ukraine People Decide Their Fate

I posted a while ago that when Russia defeats Ukraine they should hold a vote defining what adjoining country each Oblast’s wants to join or be affiliated with. Then abide with that vote.
So in the end Ukrainian’s can vote to remain Ukraine, Russian, Moldovan, Romanian, Hungarian, Slovakian, Polish or finally Belarusian.

I also think it would be a good idea to reinstate Yanukovych as Ukraine president for a year before holding an election to give the country a chance to catch their breath before returning to normalcy.

All this presupposes the West doesn’t move into WW3 as an option to conceding Ukraine’s defeat. We move into WW3 and it is game over for the West.

Lets look at the problems if the West does push for WW3. Reserves of stocks and weapons have been depleted and the West’s MIC is still a long way from being capable of going on a war footing. Add to this the largest member of NATO has gone DEI and that has all but eliminated the good ol’ Southern boy that the US used to depend on. They’ve stopped joining in the numbers they used to. That means the US would have to bring back the draft and that equals a resurgence of anti-war protests. Those anti-war protests would become NATO wide as all the other NATO countries would have to institute a draft program to get NATO up to the manpower numbers Russia has. A factor largely ignores is Belarus. They would most likely join the Russian side in WW3 and if you include them calling up their reserves that is a military force of over 400 thousand people. That could easily create a corridor to Kaliningrad. Splitting NATO into a North NATO/South NATO force. Yes it is a very large border for Russia but the fact is the US will also be split having to defend Taiwan not to mention Israel most likely as well.
Overall there is a better than average chance that NATO would lose. I do not believe any side will resort to using nuclear weapons. The citizens of the respective countries wouldn’t allow it knowing it seals their own fates. Self preservation would prevail over idiot politicians.

In the end Ukraine would have their vote only there would be a few million less young people on all sides if it was determined by WW3 instead of just conceding Ukraine’s loss and the US loss in their proxy war against Russia.
